Our Mission

The Ancient Order of Hibernians Pipes and Drums Band's mission is to play the pipes and drums to the highest skill level possible. The band performs several times a year for a variety of events, holds practices weekly for local members either in Manchester, NH or Dover, NH, and practices every other weekend with all band members to improve on marching and the standard of performance. A high communal spirit, endless good times, and above all, the joys of achievement are the rewards of hours of dedicated practice.

The Band continually seeks new members and appreciates the effort it takes to develop playing and performance skills. In reaching out to prospective members, the band has set up several preliminary levels of association before full membership is attained. In doing so, it provides beginning members the opportunity to develop the skills needed for playing in a band performance situation instead of restricting participation only to those members who already have these skills.

The band has only been active for a few years, and continues to grow strong. Some of the events we participate in are parades, weddings, funerals, Highland Games, and many others.
